The Most Beautiful Thing on Wheels / The Big Economy / Satisfy Yourself With Something Better... Buy a Pontiac

Pontiac’s selling of the “big car” image in 1935 had proven successful. The division moved to sixth rank in industry and there seemed to be little reason to make a drastic change for 1936. Harry Klinger decided to continue marketing the same basic offerings with a number of minor styling and technical alterations. Styling changes were most apparent at the front of the 1936 Pontiacs, where an even sleeker waterfall style grille appeared. Longer, slimmer headlight pods with an unusual mounting to the side of the hood were adopted. The heaviest of all the 1936 Pontiac was the Pontiac Eight 4-door Touring Sedan (3,420 pounds).
