American Underslung Traveller Special, 1910

The American Underslung cars were developed by Harry Stuzt. They had their chassis rails below the axles which lowered the car's centre of gravity and whole profile. This improved handling and made them more attractive to sporty drivers.

Lozier 'Light Six' Runabout, 1912

Lozier was a short lived company which made luxury cars in the United States from 1910 to 1915.

Mercer 35J Raceabout, 1914

The Mercer 35J was a brutish and very powerful car which still impresses with its long legged speed; its peak power is generated at just 1600 rpm. which gave the car outstanding performance.

Lancia Lambda, 1923

The Italian Lancia Lambda was one of the first chassis-less cars where the bodywork acted as a structural member. This kept weight and overall height down which helped performance.

Simson-Supra Modell S, 1924

The Simson-Supra was a German sports car. The modell S had a 2 litre dohc 4 cylinder engine.

Kissel 'Gold Bug' Roadster, 1925

The Kissel was a short lived Amercan make which folded in the depression in 1930. The "Gold Bug" was their speedster model.

Audi R, 1928

The Audi R had a straight 8 sidevalve engine and was a luxury car. As a model it was quite short lived due to the depression in Europe at that time.

Mercedes Typ SS, 1928

The Mercedes SS was the German supercar of its day. The supercharged 7 litre straight 6 engine developed 200 bhp at a leisurely 3,300 rpm. which gave the car outstanding performance.

Cord L 29, 1929

The Cord was a very advanced car for its time featuring front wheel drive probably for the first time on a large quality automobile.

Bentley 4,5 Liter 'Blower', 1930

The Bentley 4,5 Liter, or 'Blower Bentley' was one of Britain's most powerful pre-war racing cars.

Bugatti Typ 51, 1931

Bugattis were very successful racers of the 1920's and early 30's with superb engineering allied with amazing art deco styling.

Duesenberg SJ Speedster, 1933

A superb roadster which was probably the best American automobile of the time. It was fitted with a supercharged straight eight motor which could propel the car to over 100 mph in second gear!
