2005 Nissan Amenio

The Amenio is a new-style minivan concept incorporating Nissan's upscale Modern Living interior decor theme. That's to say smart, modern Japanese design as seen in cars like the Japanese-market Teana sedan and the Infiniti M45.
The 193-inch-long Amenio has three rows of seats and accommodates six. The first and second rows are just like sitting in first class, or at least business class, depending on which airline you usually fly. They're finished in vast expanses of smooth, expensive-looking red leather. A huge, eighteen-inch, in-dash monitor is linked to state-of-the-art telematics.
The very crisp, glassy exterior is intended to contrast with the relaxing, living room atmosphere inside. While Nissan has not disclosed any powertrains, one source says it likely would be powered by a 3.5-liter V-6. Is it for production? Nissan's not saying, but it surely would be only for the Japanese market. Nissan has learned a painful lesson with the current Quest that wacky minivans don't fly in the American market.
