Concept for Fiat 128 based coupé.
Designed to optimise the space and useability it had four seats, the front ones adjustable hydraulically. The dashboard featured an injury reducing impact zone whilst the interior was finished in fake leather. Notable was the shopping trolley or pram which was incorporated in the rear section of the vehicle.
At the 1969 Turin Motor Show Bertone presented a design for a four-seater coupé with Fiat 128 mechanics. The prototype was the precursor to a formula that many manufacturers were later to adopt, namely the spacious people-carrier. The short, very sloping bonnet, the large greenhouse with its ample window surfaces and the short, compact tail all serve to enhance the car’s spaciousness.
The car was created just after the extension of the Bertone factory at Grugliasco in view of the increasing number of requests for the production of niche models for domestic and foreign manufacturers.
