1965. A limited edition of the final Super version of a racing car based on a VW chassis was destined to be built by the former German aircraft maker Ernst Heinkel Flugzeugbau GmbH in Central Germany. In 1963, the company had produced the 120 plastic car bodies for the Porsche 904 racing car. The attractive prototype of a Colani VW RS racing prototype with wing doors was meant to follow the Porsche, but was never built, as not long after the design was finished the former aircraft producer reverted to producing only military vehicles.
