The first Firearrow of 1953 came out of Chrysler's advanced styling studio and was a dummy. Three Firearrows followed, led to Dual Ghias.
Firearrow I (1953) was a true roadster. It was painted Red and Gray, while the interior was yellow with maroon piping. Wheels were full wheel covers and the body side molding wrapped all of the way around the car. It has dual headlights. It is on display at Petersen’s Museum – although the seats are now brown.

The Dodge Firearrow, a sleek, 34-inch-high maroon sports roadster, is a new "idea" car of the Dodge Division, hand-crafted by Ghia of Turin, Italy. William C. Newberg, president of Dodge, says that certain design features of the experimental body may well be reflected in future Dodge production models, but there are no present plans to manufacture the Firearrow. It will be shown for the first time Thursday, November 12, 1953 at Chrysler Corporation's annual new car press party in Detroit.

Dodge Firearrow concept cars first appeared as a two-seat mockup that rode atop a 1954 Dodge chassis. Bright red and circumscribed by a dramatic gray molding that culminated up front in a handsome, blade-like bumper split by a single (and rather phallic) pod, Firearrow I carried dual headlamps and full wheel covers. Exposed exhaust pipes, two per side, rode low on the car's flanks.
Inside, the seats were well-padded yellow leather adorned with narrow maroon piping. A wood-rimmed steering wheel brought an additional touch of Italian style.
