Clarence Peter Helck
(1893-1988) Peter Helck was a renowned magazine illustrator, with his greatest success occurring between the 1920s and 1940s. Helck composed mostly industrial or automotive scenes, with many popular Advertising clients such as General Electric, Chevrolet, and Mack Trucks, among others. He was the founder of Automotive Fine Arts Society and named the Dean of American Automotive Illustrators of the 20th Century.

Питер Хэлк (Peter Helck) родился в Нью-Йорке в 1893 году. Ко времени его смерти в 1988-ом он создал более 600 эскизов, рисунков и картин на автомобильную тематику. Сейчас они украшают частные коллекции и экспозиции самых известных музеев, влючая музей Метрополитен в Нью-Йорке, библиотеку Конгресса в Вашингтоне, институт Карнеги в Питтсбурге, музей изобразительных искусств в Филадельфии и многие другие.
Несмотря на то, что шла Вторая Мировая война реклама грузовиков Mack была красочной и жизнерадосной. В многом
это заслуга Питера Хэлка, чьи великолепные работы мы можем видеть на представленных плакатах.
В пятидесятые этим же художником был создан ряд иллюстраций для рекламы грузовиков марки Chevrolet.
