Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 (circa 1935): ALFA
Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 - ALFA, 1935
This stunning art deco Alfa Romeo poster is a recreation of the original which primarily promoted the brand name but featured the bonnet and grille of the Alfa 8C 2900 (circa 1935) the fastest pre-war automobile. Designed as a racing car, it encompassed all-independent suspension and double overhead camshaft engine with twin superchargers. Managed by Enzo Ferrari, it won countless victories in the Brazilian GP, Spa 24 and Mille Miglia. The stark colours in this poster have created a dramatic effect and note how ingeniously the art deco "ALFA" graphic at the top cleverly emulates the lines in the radiator grille.
