Hyundai comes to the 2005 Tokyo Show with the NEOS-III, a full-size, V-8-powered, luxury crossover utility concept, that was developed in Japan at Hyundai's Design and Technical Centre in Chiba, to the east of Tokyo.

The NEOS-III is powered by an all-new 4.6-liter V-8 driving all four wheels. It rides on a 117-inch wheelbase and, at 196 inches long, is nearly the size of a Chevy Tahoe. Innovative touches include adaptive front lighting, an infrared night-vision system, a heads-up display, and a trackball controller for the climate control system.

It's one of three candidate models for a 2009 crossover utility vehicle from Hyundai. The Portico (from Hyundai's California Design Studio) which was shown at Detroit and Chicago earlier this year is another.
