ELECTRONIC CONCEPT CAR
Ford Motor Company's Continental Concept 100 has aerodynamic design and a vast array of advanced electronics. The exterior features new low-profile halogen headlamps with aerodynamic covers, bronze-tinted glass with compound curvature, a heated windshield and pearlescent paint. There are no door handles to mar the sleek lines. An aerodynamic antenna for satellite navigation is mounted on the trunk lid, and sensors for at Sonar Detection system are installed in ports in the front and rear bumpers. The car is driveable and all electronic features are functional.

looks kinda like a mark VIII but more boxier like an old 80's t-bird.

This car was displayed with a TV screen and an Intellivison in the back seat! It also had: front and rear sonar (the beeping when you back up your big suv), electronic air suspension (made it on Cads and Lincs), low tire pressure transmitters (these took a while to make it on the market), programmable seats (same as air susp.), keyless entry, remote start, EFI, EEC-IV, 4W ABS, LCD insturments, and last but not least, it had a break lamp on each side of the roof instead of one centrally mounted one. All my knowledge of this car comes from two pages in Edward Janicki's book 'Cars Detroit Never Built (Fifty Years of American Experimental Cars)'.
