Presented at the 1971 Paris Auto Show, Coggiola's Volvo 1800-based ESC Coupe was technically built for studying safety and comfort. While not extreme in styling, a unique feature was the front grille which extended onto the lower portion of the hood. It was 175 inches long, 67 inches wide, 49 inches high, and had a wheelbase of 96 inches.

...an interesting work by Coggiola, but the only mention of the "Volvo 1800" make us think in the outstanding Pelle Peterson's masterpiece...
I think that the 70's car could have taken other name, and not the same that the original Swedish Iron..

Today this concept car is in Galicia, Spain, and it was resprayed in red. I saw it about 5 years ago in a classic car show in my city
