Beautiful lines to this car. Ashame that it did not see production. I see simlarities to the 82-92 F-Body camaro/firebird esp in the side panel area and hood.

Looks like the Pontiac version of the "Mustang II" concept car from 1962 *not to be confused with the butt-ugly Mustang II from the late 70's*
Why GM doesn't do some of these cars I'll never know!

the previous comment from the gentleman who is a cabdriver is incorrect the 1962 mustang show car was desinated "mustang l"that was the mid-engined 2 seater design during the early development of the car that Lee Iacocca wanted to market when he was head of ford at the time.
P.s the "mustang ll" was the 1963 consept car that was a near - production consept model to market and show the public the 1964 1/2 production model .
