1968 Dodge Daroo I
Dodge Daroo I, 1968 - The name Daroo means dart or spear, and its pointed nose certainly emphasized the name.
From the rear, the Daroo had a gracious form. The black satin "blackout" racing stripe panel was not just a stripe but a body-length graphic that flowed from a point at the nose of the Daroo to a wide, flared base across the top of the tail.

The Daroo I was based on a new Dart GT Sport convertible, and the job called for a lot of slicing and dicing!
The Dodge Daroo I hit the show car circuit in 1968. With its cut-down roof and glass, pointed nose, and velocity stacks, it was hard to find the Dart underneath all the swoopy bodywork. But tracers of the stock Dart dashboard could be seen among the Daroo I’s new interior features.
