1994 Peugeot Ion

Unveiled at the Mondial de l'Automobile in 1994, the Ion was a proposal for a future four-seat electric vehicle intended for use in urban areas with heavy traffic. The four doors were opened by leaning on a sensitive area on the rear wing; a solution Peugeot claimed would soon replace the problems of fiddling around with keys while holding shopping bags. With a lively yellow glaze and wheels positioned at the four corners, the Ion was also dubbed the fruit of Peugeot's concept car line-up.
