Nardi-Plymouth Silver Ray created by Michelotti in 1960
This low two seater coupe has a body designed by Michelotti on a Nardi chassis to the order of an American client (James Simpson). The Plymouth Golden Commando V-8 engine develops about 350BHP giving it a maximum speed of about 140mph. The frame is tubular, suspension is by modified Alfa Romeo coil spring units at the front and semi elliptic springs at the rear; brakes are discs on all four wheels.

the silver ray was commisioned by William S Simpson of Miami . He was the president of Simtron , they made marine radio telephones . Bill was a president of the Miami boat show . He was a friend of mine I did all his car work in his final years......
