While the majority of 1900 C Sprint coupes were produced with Carozzeria Touring bodies, a select number of cars, including this extremely rare example, feature coachwork from legendary Italian design houses including Ghia, Zagato, and Boano.
Car, shown here, wears sleek bodywork from Carozzeria Pininfarina. Wrap-around rear glass and rounded proportions characterize the unmistakably Italian shape. Very few Pininfarina bodied 1900 C Sprints were built and approximately 30 examples are believed to survive worldwide.
In addition to its rare, hand-formed Pininfarina body, this particular 1900C Sprint has one more extraordinary feature that sets it apart from other Alfa 1900s. Technical specifications include Borrani wire wheels, a dual overhead cam engine with Abarth dual Solex carburetors and left hand drive. It has spent much of its life on display in the Pininfarina museum until purchased in 2007.
